4th Workshop on Advanced Voice Function Assessment

The 4th Advanced Voice Function Workshop will be held in York, England between 9.00am on Wednesday 19th May 2010 and 12.30pm on Thursday 20th May 2010. Following this meeting will be a meeting for members of COST 2103 from 2.00pm on Thursday 20th May 2010 to the afternoon of Friday 21st May 2010.

CALL FOR PAPERS

The call for papers is now open. Particular topics of interest include but are not limited to:
Future trends in automatic voice disorder detection
Future strategies in substitution voices
Future strategies for voice parameterization and modelling
Future signal processing strategies for the analysis of normal, professional and disordered voices
Future health and support needs for the professional vocal performer
New horizons in automatic voice quality and voice disorder assessment and rating
New horizons in vocal fold image analysis
New horizons in professional vocal performer pedagogy
New horizons in disordered speech analysis
New horizons in robust voice fundamental frequency estimation
New horizons in voice pedagogy
Next steps in furthering understanding of voice physiology and biomechanics
New ways of modelling voice production
New voice evaluation protocols
Tomorrow's clinical treatment evaluation
Tomorrow's applications and organisztion of vocal disorder databases
Tomorrow's speech enhancement strategies for pathological & oesophageal voices

Each abstract should include a title, list of authors, contact details for principal author, and they should be no longer than 300 words. Abstracts should be sent by email to the Workshop General Chair (David Howard - dh@ohm.york.ac.uk) by 19th February 2010.

Decisions will be sent out by email by the 12th March 2010.
